Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.
Our optometrist takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet our doctor:
'I love caring for my patients! I find great fulfillment in helping every individual achieve GREAT vision. Whether it's finding the perfect contact lens, managing a long-term disorder, or playing a game of peek-a-boo with a young child in order to complete an eye exam, I enjoy the process. I truly believe that each patient is important and deserves the best care and attention possible every time they walk through my door.'.
Dr. Pessoa received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University where he also completed specialized training in optometric care for pediatric patients and patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other special needs. This training enables him to offer specialized and adaptive exams for such patients. As a father of a child with special needs, he has a great personal dedication to patient care for children and patients with special needs of all ages. Dr. Pessoa is pleased to offer comprehensive eye-care for the whole family! He provides exams in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
